In June Eunice and Edward Ordman went with Interfaith Peace Builders to Israel and the West Bank. They are sponsored by Fellowship of Reconciliation and the American Friends Service Committee, that is the Quakers. We had a guide and bus driver who took us to visit both Israeli and Palestinians working non violently for peace.
Since we returned to Memphis, TN we have been giving talks with a slide show. At Temple Israel we spoke to a group about equally divided between Muslims, Christians, and Jews. Amazingly they all liked it. They stayed and stayed to discuss the topic until it was time to close the room for the day. I think they liked the fact that we gave them a method by which peace can be achieved. If you would like us to talk to your organization e-mail us at edward@ordman.net with "Israel/Palestine talk" as the topic.

I'm Eunice Ordman. I was very discouraged that the situation in Israel seemed to be getting worse and worse in spite of all the good work both sides are doing nonviolently for peace. Then I remembered that after World War II, the US occupied Japan and Germany even as Israel is occupying the former Palestine mandate. Five years later Germany and Japan were our staunchest allies and have remained so ever since.
How did we do it? We raised their economies by giving them credit to buy modern machines and know how in the US. We raised our own economy at the same time. Producing the equipment we were giving away made jobs for the many returning GI's. It was a win-win situation.
